Floyd College and Career Academy (CCA)

Floyd County Schools College And Career Academy will provide the opportunity for all students to acquire technological skills necessary for successful present and future employment

Juniors and Seniors at Model High School may attend the CCA and have the opportunity to experience a variety of skills-based coursework not available at MHS. Students take these courses as part of their regular educational program. Students are scheduled four periods a day at the CCA, and spend approximately 30 minutes each way traveling to and from the campus. On A Days, students spend time in their area of study (Engineering, Healthcare, etc.) and on B Days, they take 90 minutes of Math and 90 minutes of Science. The schedule flips depending on a student's grade level. Bus transportation to the CCA is provided during the regular school day, or students may be permitted to drive if they adhere to the school driving policy.
